This commitment aimed at supporting and developing income-generating activities, particularly cooperatives, undoubtedly illustrates the vision and objectives of the INDH program dedicated to improving income, in particular the axis relating to support for development of value chains with high employment potential, through which the Initiative positions itself as a fundamental driver of socio-economic progress.
In Benguerir, the Cooperative of deaf and mute people “Tahadi Assom” constitutes one of the promising models, which illustrates the innovative approach of the INDH in favor of the promotion of the social and solidarity economy sector.
Equipped with a sewing and embroidery workshop, this promising project having required a total cost of 330,000 dirhams including a contribution from the INDH of around 198,000 dirhams, is part of the dedicated INDH Program to improving income.
To this end, the president of the cooperative, Amina Lissan Dine, noted in a statement to MAP that this project, which has already allowed 13 girls to take advantage of this opportunity, is of “capital” importance for the young people in the region.
“This project is crucial for us because it offers a unique opportunity to young deaf and mute people in Benguérir to develop practical skills and access a stable source of income,” she argued.
And to maintain that thanks to the INDH, the cooperative was able to acquire modern equipment which facilitates daily work and improves the quality of their products, which ensures the empowerment of the beneficiaries, thus creating a virtuous circle of development and social inclusion.
The contribution of the INDH is not limited to financial support, but also includes technical support and practical advice which aim to optimize the impact of these projects on the ground, by providing training particularly in terms of management to guarantee the sustainability and sustainability of the initiatives put in place.
