Skoda India sold a total of 38,300 units in the January-September 2022 period, registering a growth of 187% and accounting for 7% of Skoda’s total sales of 544,500 units. This strong market performance means that sales in the first nine months of 2022 have already exceeded full-year sales in 2021, ahead of China (36,300 units, -31% year-on-year) and Russia (16,600 units, -77% year-on-year). The major growth drivers for the Indian market were the Kushak with 19,500 units and the Slavia with 15,400 units. Demand for Skoda vehicles is high. We are doing our best to keep up with the still high order backlog. We want to move forward with a very successful growth in the Indian market.

Our deliveries in India have already surpassed the previous year’s end. We want to build on this important growth market, says Martin John, Sales and Marketing Member of the Skoda Auto Board.
