Indians can enter Polish border without a visa: Ambassador Adam Purakovsky informs

Adam Purakovsky, the Polish ambassador to India, said that more than 2 lakh people, including Indians from Ukraine, have taken refuge at the Polish border and that Indians can enter the Polish border without a visa.

Many Indians, including students there, are stranded in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The federal government has intensified efforts to repatriate them.

With air traffic banned in Ukraine, Indians are being brought in through neighboring countries. Special flights are operated for this purpose. Therefore, Indians are rushing from Ukraine to neighboring countries including Romania, Moldova, Hungary and Poland.

Also, Union ministers are set to visit Ukraine’s neighbors to expedite the rescue of Indians stranded in Ukraine. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Cynthia will travel to Romania, Moldova, Union Minister Kiran Rijiju to Slovakia, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to Hungary and Union Minister VK Singh to Poland.

In this context, more than 2 lakh people, including Indians from Ukraine, have now taken refuge on the Polish border, according to the Polish Ambassador to India Adam Purakovsky.

‘The border areas are overflowing with people from Ukraine. But we all warmly welcome you. Special flights will be operated for Indian students arriving in Poland. Poland will also co-operate with the Indian High Commission in the expulsion of Indians. Indians can enter Poland without a visa, ”he said.
