Protests by people demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the release of 4 of our 8 villages that have been occupied in Armenia for 32 years and the transfer to Azerbaijan are turning into a tragicomedy day by day.

The grotesqueness has reached such a level that the number of people blocking the roads in different parts of Armenia is increasing rapidly, as are the agencies of foreign states with microscopic influence, those who consider what is happening to be fun to add color to the monotonous days, and even fraudsters.

For example, in the Tavush (Tovuzgala) district of Armenia, the man who declared himself “one of the leaders” gave an interview to Armenian journalists as “Lieutenant-General Martin Karapetyan”.

Later, “Colonel General Arakelyan” appeared in front of the cameras.

There are no such “generals” in the remnants of the Armenian army, and fraudsters tried to make money using the situation.

The former presidents of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, also participated in the actions through the deputies of the “Armenia” and “I have honor” parliamentary factions.

R. Kocharyan’s son Levon Kocharyan took a photo standing next to the road blockers, and then those photos were “accidentally” shared on social networks with the inscription “Future Prime Minister of Armenia”.

Along with political parasites in Armenia, Armenians in different countries are trying to use the situation as actively as possible.

There was also grotesqueness during the speech at the conference dedicated to the “memorial day” of the so-called “Armenian genocide” organized by the head of the Union of Armenians of Russia (REI) in Moscow, Ara Abramyan.

After Arshak Karapetyan, the former Minister of Defense of Armenia, took the stage and spoke a little about the fictional “genocide”, he started talking about Nikol Pashinyan.

“It is not enough to remove Pashinyan’s junta from power and send him to resign. Pashinyan and his people should be arrested and answer to the law for their actions,” A. Karapetyan said.

The vice-president of REI Lusik Ghukasyan interrupted the ex-minister impatiently: “I don’t understand what the ex-defense minister of Armenia is doing here? Moreover, he demands respect and attention. He should be in Armenia now!”

A. Karapetyan left the event upset.

On the same day, A. Karapetyan made a video appeal to the citizens of Armenia from his apartment in Moscow.

Announcing the creation of the “All-Armenian Front”, A. Karapetyan called Armenian citizens to mass protests, demonstrations and marches.

One point in his call is noteworthy: “We support the change of power, but we do not want to see those who were in power or those acting under the influence of outsiders in power.”

Thus, General A. Karapetyan, who declared that he has started the struggle for power in Armenia, said that he will not be a partner or form a coalition with the former presidents of the country, Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. Of course, A. Karapetyan is not a person with the authority and ability to realize the change of power in Yerevan. Since he is just a person used by certain forces in Russia as a new tool to influence the situation in Yerevan, it is, to put it mildly, too early to talk about the possibility of some kind of cooperation with Kocharyan or Sargsyan.

At the moment, the intention of the forces that are using the rapid progress of the works related to the demarcation and delimitation of the conditional state border with Azerbaijan as a reason for protest actions in Armenia is clear: they think that a favorable situation has been formed to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power.

They think that the mass protests organized by the “formers” inside and the Armenian diaspora outside the country, especially the leaders of the Armenian community organizations in Russia, will have serious results. It is naïve, because Armenia does not have the power and the necessary conditions to weaken Pashinyan’s positions to the point of forcing him to resign.

The dreams of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan returning to power in Armenia are also an illusion – most Armenians literally hate them.

But this does not affect their ideological paradigms, which have been formed for centuries and are still valid, and the moral foundations of their lives.

In addition to the citizens of Armenia, the concepts of “Motherland”, “Land” and “Yurd” in the minds of Armenians living in different countries of the world are based on myths, legends, fictional historical illusions and do not correspond to reality.

The main factor hindering the progress of the neighboring country since the first day of its independence is that they are victims of the narratives invented by the Armenians, the mythic ideal of “Great Armenia” in their dreams, and they consider territorial claims and racism as normal principles.

However, the intellectual potential of Armenians is not small, and if the Armenian society had chosen the path of normal development, if it had given up the marasmatic claims against Azerbaijan and Turkey and followed the path of partnership, neighborliness and cooperation, peace and stability would have been established in the South Caucasus a long time ago.

Armenians spent their forces, potentials and opportunities on empty dreams and became a tool in the dirty geopolitical games of big states, they were deceived by promises and became victims of “obligations” that were not fulfilled and will never be realized.

The biggest mistake of the Armenian society is that it maintains the lie of the so-called “Armenian genocide” and views the whole world from the level of that lie, along with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The wrong path leading to the historical, moral, political and geopolitical impasse that Armenia is now facing is precisely false narratives and senseless illusions.

Official Iravan is constantly looking for patrons, supports, patrons, as he turns the principles built on frauds and mistakes, fabrications and dreams into history, his claims into politics, and his mental traumas into memory. Such references definitely turn Armenians into toys and puppets of those who claim to be “protectors”.

If Armenians want to get rid of dependence, become an independent state, start development and say goodbye to the status of an outpost, they should give up false narratives.

It is a painful process, not a quick one.

But there is no other way or means.
