The president of National Electoral Institute (INE), Guadalupe Taddei, reported that they will cut half the polling stations to be installed for the judicial election, given the budget reduction applied by the Chamber of Deputies to the organization, for more than 13 billion pesos.
Of the more than 172 mil that were originally located in the 300 districtsthe INE will drop to 80 thousand voting centers, which will reduce the number of trainers and supervisors to be hired.

The official indicated that she will not throw tantrums or adjectives against the deputies for the cut and despite the budget decrease, which is the most “severe in history,” INE officials are guaranteed their bonus for extra workload.
At a press conference, the president advisor indicated: “we are very clear that the constitutional mandate We are going to fulfill it, we are going to do it and well, the installation of the 172 thousand boxes and the hiring of trainers and supervisors will have to undergo a modification because the amount planned for this did not occur.”
Voting expectation
The projection is that some 80 thousand voting centers, which would mean a little less than half of what had been planned.

In a normal polling station you can vote up to 750 citizensbut due to the cutback in the election of judges, the voting centers will be for up to 3 thousand voters.
