The man injured eight years ago on a television show is entitled to £ 1.6 million (around 1.87 million euros) in compensation, as the High Court in London ruled on Friday. In 2013 he tried his hand at the science program “Bang Goes The Theory” as a human crash test dummy and suffered minor brain and spine injuries.

Although none of the injuries were individually very bad, but in the combination and due to psychological consequences he suffered great impairments, said the judge in charge. The journalist himself had previously stated that he lost millions of dollars in salaries due to the injuries. The BBC did not follow this assessment.
