(Afshan Rizwan) A two-day international interfaith conference was organized in Minhaj University Lahore, in which the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the chief guest, and religious scholars from all over the world participated in the conference.
The closing session of the World Interfaith Conference was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr. Hasan Mohiuddin Qadri and Chairman Board of Governance (BOG) of Minhaj University Prof. Dr. Hussain as special guests. Mohiuddin Qadri also participated, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shehzad, Registrar Minhaj University Dr. Khurram Shehzad were also present in the conference.
Scholars from USA, UK, Austria, Egypt, Nepal, India, Norway, South Korea spoke, Joseph P. Garske from USA, Dr. Thomas G. Wash, Mr. Michael Ramstern, Prof. Dr. Taranjit Singh, Dr. J. Prakash Kardam from India, Egypt. Asma Alizane, Prof. Dr. Afsar Rathore from Austria, Bhupendra Kumar from Sri Lanka, Dr. Bholenath Yogi from Nepal were present in the closing session, Dr. Ruhan Gunaratna from Singapore, Dr. Heinze from Austria also participated.
In the conference, PPP leader Barrister Aamir Hasan, legal expert Azhar Siddique were present in the ceremony, all the guests launched the Minhaj Global Rehabilitation and Engagement Repository, the book of Interfaith Tolerance by Tahir-ul-Qadri was also launched.
Speaking from the conference, Governor KPK Fasil Karim Kundi said that Dr. Muhammad Tahir Qadri has built the best educational institution, the future of Pakistan can be bright only on the basis of education, I am very happy that Minhaj University is the field of education. It is playing an important role in Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s teachings can play a great role for interfaith harmony, Counter and Peace Terrorism Institute of Minhaj University is an example.
The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that there is no room for terrorism in Islam, Minhaj University is performing the duty of guiding the young generation in the right direction, Minhaj University has an important role in the field of education and research, development and prosperity of Pakistan. Every Pakistani has to come forward, Sheikhul-Islam Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has always served for inter-faith harmony and peace, we have to bring the soft image of our country to the world, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is located along the border of Afghanistan. It has its own importance, two world powers tried to dominate this region but they could not succeed.
Faisal Karim Kundi further said that I congratulate him on a successful conference, more than 2000 international scholars expressed their views, the Al-Muzahab conference is a very important thing and also the need of the hour, we want it to be Such conferences are also in Peshawar, such conferences are very necessary to stop the religious persecutions that are increasing all over the world, I congratulate Dr. Tahir ul Qadir for doing such a great job. .
