After the riots in correctional colony No. 1 in Vladikavkaz, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee in North Ossetia is conducting an inspection, TASS reports, citing a source in the Investigative Committee.

Riots in the colony on the evening of October 15 were staged during search activities by two convicts who are being held in a punishment cell, previously reported to the Federal Penitentiary Service for North Ossetia. No one was injured during the riots, Tamerlan Tsgoev, Ombudsman for Human Rights in North Ossetia, said in an interview with the Ossetia-Iriston TV channel. According to Tsgoev, there was a fire on the territory of the colony. After its liquidation, negotiations were held with the rioters, the situation stabilized, the human rights activist noted.
