by time news

For a long time, rumors have been circulating that the iPhone 14 series will feature a front camera with autofocus (AF) for the first time in an iPhone.

Now, it seems that the rumors are finally happening, as Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple product analyst, claims that the front camera on the iPhone 14 series will be upgraded to AF technology. He also claims that Apple will use a 6P lens for the front camera instead of a 5P lens.

Whereas, Ming-Chi Kuo conducted an analysis of the suppliers of front camera components in the upcoming iPhone series, claiming the previously discussed features. These claims indicate that the front camera on the iPhone 14 series will be greatly improved, making it even better for selfies and videos.

The front camera lens for the iPhone 14 series will be supplied by Genius and Largan, while the new focus unit will be provided by Alps and Luxshare.

Moreover, Apple will collaborate with Cowell, and for the first time the South Korean company LG Innotek on the camera module.

LG Innotek will also integrate some of the key optical components within the company, such as MPC cameras, drivers, and optical image stabilization (OIS) components, while delivering the camera modules.
