/ A senior Iranian official said on Sunday that all of Israel’s embassies are no longer safe, according to what was reported by the semi-official “Tasnim” agency.

Yahya Rahim Safavi, an advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, made these statements following a suspected attack by Israel on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1, to which Tehran vowed to respond.

The attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus is considered the “boldest” in a series of attacks targeting Iranian officials in Syria since December, and it is also the largest in terms of the number of deaths it caused.

Iran vowed to respond forcefully, raising fears of a broader war in the region and prompting the Israeli army to suspend leave for all combat units and mobilize more forces to reinforce air defense units.

The aerial bombardment destroyed the headquarters of the Iranian consulate in Damascus on Monday, and also killed 7 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, led by the commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and the commander, Mohammad Hadi Rahimi, which sparked Iranian anger for “revenge” against the perpetrators of the attack.
