The development of relations between Iran and Russia can become an example for the development of relations between Iran and Belarus.

As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, the President of Iran said this Masud Pezeshkian at a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the summit of the heads of state of the BRICS member states, which is taking place in Kazan.

According to him, at the meeting with the President of Russia, the strategic international North-South corridor was discussed. As part of the upcoming return visit to Russia, a number of comprehensive agreements will be signed between the two countries.

According to Pezeshkian, independent states can fight sanctions imposed by the United States.

At the meeting, the President of Belarus invited the President of Iran to visit Belarus.

“Belarus is ready to accelerate the implementation of the agreements reached with Iran. The two countries have huge and diverse potential for developing relations, and Belarus is ready to mutually exchange experience,” he said.

Alexander Lukashenko added that the launch of the international North-South corridor will have a positive impact on facilitating access for businessmen and manufacturers to the markets of the two countries.

Note that BRICS is an intergovernmental organization created in 2006. Russia assumed the chairmanship of BRICS on January 1, 2024. Currently, in addition to Russia, Brazil, India, China and South Africa, the organization’s members include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
