/ The CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City (Tehran) confirmed on Monday that most of the foreign trips made by Iranians during Nowruz were to Iraq, Turkey and Dubai.
Saeed Chalandari said in a press conference, followed by Agency, “The conditions were different at Imam Khomeini Airport this year, and the number of passengers on the Nowruz holiday increased by 31% and the number of flights by 25% compared to last year, as 3,994 flights were carried out from this year.” Airport, and 625,725 people were transported on these flights.”
He pointed out that “the busiest foreign destinations during Nowruz were to Turkey, Dubai, and Iraq,” noting that “26% of the trips were to Turkey, with 939 trips, and 14% of the foreign trips were made to Dubai and 13% of the trips were to Iraq.”
