The National Intelligence Council confirmed on Sunday that what is happening in Syria are terrorist acts.
A statement issued by the media office of the National Security Advisor, received by the (INA), stated that “the National Intelligence Council held its sixteenth session for the year 2024, headed by the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, and in the presence of the members of the Council.”
The statement added,”The Council discussed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding them. the latest developments in the Syrian arena and the threats that may result from them where discussed. It also discussed the measures that must be taken to preserve Iraqi national security.”
The Council affirmed that “what is happening in Syria are acts of terrorism, and Iraq will stand by the brotherly Syrian people and their heroic army in the face of terrorism.”
He pointed out, “The Council has made a number of recommendations that will be presented to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”
