/ On Friday, the Iraqi junior football team held its first training session at the Salalah City Sports Complex Stadium in the Sultanate of Oman in preparation for participation in the West Asian Federation Championship, which will be held there from the 10th to the 20th of this month.
The Iraqi national team plays in the first group, alongside the national teams of Oman, Lebanon and Yemen.
This Friday morning, the delegation of the Iraqi junior national team arrived in the city of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, coming from the Jordanian capital, Amman, in preparation for participating in the West Asian Federation Championship for teams (under 17 years of age), which opens the day after tomorrow, Sunday.
The Iraqi youth team tied with its host, the Jordanian team, twice, the first without goals and the second with one goal each, in two experimental friendly matches that are part of its preparations for participating in the West Asian Federation Championship in the Sultanate of Oman.
