This is not the first time Irfan Pathan has praised Saunju during the IPL

Kolkata: Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has been lauded for his batting against the Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals in the first qualifier of the IPL 1522 (IPL 2022). According to Pathan, Sanju has done a great job. Sanju was third in the crease against Gujarat with 47 off 26 balls with five fours and three sixes. Saunju started the innings with the first ball of the innings.
This is not the first time Irfan Pathan has praised Saunju during the IPL. Earlier in the day, Pathan had tweeted after the match against the Lucknow Super Giants that Sanju was one of the best young captains in the IPL. Sounju Samson is one of the best young heroes of this season. A captain has a crucial role to play when defending the score by batting first. Irfan Pathan tweeted that this is what the Rajasthan Royals have been doing consistently this season.
The Gujarat Titans reached the IPL final by defeating Rajasthan despite being beaten by Sanju Samson. Gujarat beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in the first play – off at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After losing the toss and opting to bat, Rajasthan scored 188 for six in the allotted overs. In reply, Gujarat lost just three wickets in 19.3 overs. Captain Hardik Pandya (40 off 27 balls) and David Miller (68 off 38 balls) led Gujarat to victory. Both stood out.
Earlier, Rajasthan lost the toss and opted to bat first. For Gujarat, Mohammad Shami, Yash Dayal and Sai Kishore Hardik Pandya took one wicket each. Rajasthan have one more chance to reach the final. In the eliminator, Rajasthan will face the winner of the Royal Challengers Bangalore-Lucknow Super Giants match in the second qualifier. The team that wins it will reach the final.
