/ On Thursday, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the session of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and while it pointed out that South Africa plays the role of “the judicial arm in the service of the Hamas movement,” it considered that the discussion taking place in the lawsuit submitted by the African country against Tel Aviv is a “display of hypocrisy and false allegations.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat said: “Today we witnessed one of the greatest displays of hypocrisy in history and a series of false and baseless allegations… South Africa, which acts as the legal arm of Hamas, has abused and distorted the reality in Gaza since the October 7 massacre, ignoring “The fact that Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel, killed, executed, massacred, raped and kidnapped Israeli civilians, simply because they were Israeli, in an attempt to commit genocide.”

On Thursday morning, the hearings of the International Court of Justice began in the case brought by South Africa against Israel for committing the crime of “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.

The South African delegation, headed by the Minister of Justice, submitted an urgent request to stop the Israeli military operation as part of the so-called urgent preventive measures to stop the causes of harm, which is within the jurisdiction of the court.
