During the day, the Israeli Air Force carried out new strikes on targets of the Shiite organization Hezbollah in the Beirut area.

According to the army press service, their target was several Hezbollah weapons depots in the suburbs of Dahiya, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

Before the strikes, “numerous measures were taken to reduce the risk of harm to civilians,” the army assured.

“This strike is part of an effort to damage Hezbollah weapons depots and production facilities located under residential buildings in downtown Beirut, posing a threat to the population in the area,” the press service explained.

On September 23, Israel launched Operation Arrows of the North against Hezbollah formations, during which it carried out massive airstrikes against the military targets of the Shiite organization on Lebanese territory. As a result of one of the bombings on September 27, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrullah was killed in Beirut. The organization confirmed his death and promised to continue to confront Israel. On the night of October 1, the Israeli army announced the start of a ground operation in the border areas of southern Lebanon.
