Israel promises to continue dealing “hard blows” to Hezbollah in Lebanon

The Israeli army promised this Thursday that it will continue to attack Hezbollah with “hard blows” in Lebanon, where soldiers are carrying out ground and air combat against the militants of said Islamist movement.

After intense bombings that have occurred in Lebanon against Hezbollah, due to the latest attack perpetrated by Israel, in which some of its leaders were killed and left more than a thousand dead, the forces have begun incursions into the south through land.

This Thursday, Israeli aviation carried out an attack on the Intelligence Headquarters of the Islamist movement, whose possible target was Hashem Safieddine, successor to Hasan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah assassinated last week, but this information has not been confirmed by Israel.

For its part, Hezbollah reported an attack on a warehouse near the Beirut airport and up to 11 bombings in the southern part of the Lebanese capital, an area that represents the organization’s stronghold.

Following these attacks, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that, in total, 37 people were killed and 151 were injured.

General Herzi Halevi, chief of the Israeli General Staff, reported, through a televised speech, that his forces will continue attacking Hezbollah positions to prevent the terrorist group from settling again in southern Lebanon.

The possibility of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East intensified after Iran launched almost 200 missiles against Israel on Tuesday and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised that the Islamic Republic will pay for its “big mistake.”

In this regard, Joe Biden, president of the United States, declared that he thinks that a total war can be avoided.
