The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported, “Tel Aviv intends to inform Washington that it will not withdraw from southern Lebanon after the expiration of the 60-day deadline.”
The commission said, “Israel will justify this by the Lebanese army not adhering to the terms of the ceasefire agreement and accusing Hezbollah of trying to reorganize its ranks in the region,” adding that “Israel is planning to prevent residents of Lebanese villages near the border from returning to their homes.”
The Israeli authority indicated that “the Lebanese army did not achieve sufficient deployment in the region and did not attack Hezbollah targets that Israel provided it with.”
In this context, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, stated, “The leadership of the resistance is the one who decides when to resist, how, the method of resistance, and the weapons used.”
Naim Qassem stressed, “Israel tried for 64 days to advance inside our lands, but it advanced only hundreds of meters, and was unable to advance deep into our lands thanks to the strength of the resistance. The resistance is strong, deterrent, and effective, and disrupts the enemy’s goals despite the widespread Israeli destruction and aggression.”
He continued: “We faced unprecedented aggression, and we stood firm and broke Israel’s power, and making sacrifices is the way to keep us strong, and the resistance will continue,” noting that “after the Battle of Uli al-Bas, there is no possibility for the Israeli enemy to be able to invade as it wants.”
Qassem said, “There is no timetable detailing the resistance’s work, and that “our patience may run out before the 60-day deadline,” according to the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel.”
He added: “Our patience may run out before 60 days, and the leadership will decide when and how it will respond, and the leadership’s decision regarding the timing of Hezbollah’s response is linked to Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, indicating that the Lebanese state is responsible for its implementation.”
“A number of Israeli soldiers set fire to some houses in the town of Aitaroun, located in southern Lebanon.
The National News Agency said, “Israeli enemy soldiers set fire to a number of homes in the Al-Baladiya neighborhood in the town of Aitaroun – Bint Jbeil district, in a complete violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
