The information technology company THAT, WAR Solutions seeks to merge the technology with art by promoting exhibitions of art focused on hurricanes y natural cyclones.
Arturo Hernandez Alcazar presents his most recent exhibition “The Hurricane Center of the University Museum of Sciences and Arts affirms that no disaster is natural”, curated by Aleida Pardoin it University Museum of Science and Art (MUCA), located in Ciudad Universitaria, next to the UNAM Rectory.
The exhibition will be open to public from October 5 to December 7 and explore the power symbolic and real of the hurricane as a phenomenon and as a metaphor for contemporary chaos.
The hurricane is not only presented as a meteorological phenomenon, but as a representation of the interaction between nature and human. “Saying ‘no disaster is natural’ appeals to the fact that the hurricane is actually a world system, but it is a disaster as soon as it comes into contact with humans,” he said.
