Following the declaration of conformity pronounced by the Constitutional Court, President Patrice Talon promulgated Law 2024-13 amending and supplementing Law 2019-43 establishing the Electoral Code in the Republic of Benin. The promulgation of this law thus marks a significant step forward for the reform of the party system. According to the Municipal Councilor of the Republican Bloc in Porto-Novo, Romulus BIOKOU, political actors must ensure that the last of the Beninese appropriates this modified electoral code. “The modified and promulgated electoral code is the strengthening of our large-scale political groups.
