At the meeting, issues of developing air traffic between Azerbaijan and China were discussed, and the positive dynamics of growth in passenger traffic between the two countries was noted.

During the event, it was emphasized that AZAL currently operates flights on the Baku-Beijing-Baku route twice a week. However, starting from 2025, it is planned to increase the frequency of flights on this route to three times a week, which will meet the growing demand on this route.

In addition, the parties discussed the prospects for further expansion of the geography of AZAL flights to China. The possibility of opening flights to major cities such as Guangzhou and Shanghai is being considered. This will also strengthen cooperation between countries and create additional opportunities for passengers.

Particular attention was paid to the role of Baku as an important transit hub between China and Europe. The development of air traffic will contribute not only to an increase in tourist flows, but also to strengthening the transit role of Azerbaijan in international passenger and cargo transportation.
