“Italy wants peace and the unity of Libya”, says Draghi

Time.news – The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, had a telephone conversation with the Libyan Prime Minister today, Abdelhamid Dabaiba. In recalling the institutional transition process and the recent vote of confidence granted to the Government of National Unity, the full Italian support for the unity of Libya and the consolidation of peace and the stability of the country, in the framework of an intra-Libyan process under the aegis of the United Nations.

President Draghi urged the interlocutor and his government to focus on priority objectives such as the security and prosperity of the friendly Libyan people and the entire region. Particular attention was also paid to the prospects for further strengthening the bilateral partnership in the various sectors of common interest.
