mActor Mammootty is the favorite star of Laiyalis. He has given many memorable roles in his decades long acting career and continues to amaze the audience with different characters. Apart from being an actor, Mammootty is also involved in various charity activities. Often the news of his good deeds comes out. But an old interview video in which Mammootty says that he is not interested in flaunting his activities is now going viral.

“I find it very difficult when these kinds of activities that I do are publicized. I am a big bully, I feel like it’s a shame to say that I did such and such. Then because of attention to me, these things will come in the newspapers. We can’t stop that. So if there is any benefit, let it be.” Mammootty says.

Mammootty also says that apart from what he gives directly, all the money received for inaugurations etc. goes to the account of his charity organization Care and Share. Mammootty’s response was in an interview with Mithun Ramesh at the Sharjah International Book Fair in 2016. This video is now going viral. Mammootty’s PRO Robert Kuriakos has shared this video.

Meanwhile, Mammootty is currently acting in the film Kannur Squad. Recently, news came out that tribal elders and their team had come to the set where the shooting was in progress in Wayanad. A group of tribal brothers, led by elders Sekharan Paniya and Dendukan Katt Nayka, came to meet the actor from a tribal colony near the Kabani river in the backwaters of the Kerala-Karnataka border. Around 28 families in the colony were welcomed by the megastar elder and his team by giving each of them the required clothes.
