“I wasn’t angry when I went to prison. There I saw my life and that of people with difficult fates in a different way. I learned from my mistakes. My family reacted and we became more friendly, I spend more free time for them and friends . Cooking is a hobby, it’s my kingdom and I forget about the rest. That’s why I’ve learned to allocate my free time better, I’ve always wanted to achieve and now I’ve learned to be patient.”
Chef Andre Tokev, who was arrested after driving with a blood alcohol level of 1.9 at the end of 2021, told BT on air. In early January 2022, the chef pleaded guilty and went to prison after a agreement with the prosecutor’s office, approved by the Sofia District Court.
“If there are no mistakes, there is no way to learn and have experience – he added in the program “This Saturday and Sunday”. – We are taught from childhood to be afraid of them, but we shouldn’t be.”
Tokev explained that out of three restaurants he had, he only had one left because of the pandemic. He even publishes a book in which he says that making mistakes is not scary if you learn a lesson.
