Jack Harlow Announces New Album ‘Monica’ Set for March Release
A new album from Jack Harlow is on the horizon, with the artist announcing today, February 10, that his upcoming project, Monica, will arrive on March 13. The announcement follows a period of creative development at New York City’s legendary Electric Lady Studios.
A New Chapter Following ‘Jackman’
The forthcoming album represents a significant shift in Harlow’s release cadence. According to a press release, Monica will be released nearly three years after his previous LP, 2023’s Jackman, marking the longest gap between albums in his career to date. This extended timeline reflects Harlow’s ambition to deliver a truly unique and transformative work.
Creative Process and Artistic Vision
Harlow shared insights into his creative process during a conversation with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in March 2025. “It’s in process, you know,” he stated. “I’m trying to transcend. I wanna do something I’ve never done, and I’m just slowly starting accept that it is going to take me longer than any of my past projects if I want it to be like nothing I’ve ever done. Maybe it will take longer than things I have done.”
This commitment to innovation appears to be central to the Monica project. The album was written over the past year at Electric Lady, following Harlow’s relocation to New York City, suggesting a deliberate immersion in a new creative environment.
Early Praise and Studio Sessions
Interestingly, the seeds of Monica were sown even before its formal inception. In June, singer Lorde revealed that Harlow had previewed her album Virgin and offered enthusiastic feedback, declaring some of her lyrics “These are bars!” The two artists connected at Electric Lady Studios, where Harlow was already laying the groundwork for his new music.
Currently, details surrounding Monica remain limited to the album’s title, release date, and cover art.
Monica is slated for release on March 13 via Generation Now/Atlantic. Further information can be found here.
The anticipation builds as fans await a deeper dive into Harlow’s artistic evolution with Monica, a project poised to redefine his discography.
