Jangheung-gun Talent Development Scholarship Association delivered ‘230 million won’ scholarship. The Jangheung-gun Talent Development Scholarship Association (Chairman Seong Kim) announced on the 26th that it had delivered 230 million won in scholarships to 143 local students.

About 100 people, including students, their families, and donors, attended the scholarship award ceremony held in the conference room of Jangheung County Office.

The scholarship award ceremony began with a congratulatory performance, followed by a scholarship progress report, congratulatory remarks, scholarship certificate presentation, and a commemorative photo.

This day took on added meaning as last year’s scholarship donor directly awarded scholarship certificates to the scholarship students.

Continuing from last year, this year too, MDM Group Chairman Moon Joo-hyun handed out a scholarship worth 80 million won, and more students received scholarships.

As a result of our efforts to foster athletes with special talents in sports, we have achieved some results, such as this year, when Jo Jeong-hyeon (Seoul Junggyeong High School), a student from Jangheung, was selected as a member of the U-17 national soccer team.

Kim Seong, Chairman of the Talent Development Scholarship Association, said, “I would like to congratulate the students who received the scholarship once again. “We will continue to provide diverse support to local students so that they can fully demonstrate their talents and talents,” he said.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Jangheung-gun Talent Development Scholarship Association has produced a total of 1,954 scholarship students and provided scholarships worth 2.39 billion won to date.

Every year, approximately 1.1 billion won is provided to the Jangheung Office of Education and schools for 13 projects as a scholarship project for the development of local education.

The representative programs are the overseas vision camp project for high school students with excellent grades, which has been implemented for the first time in the province since 2016, and the overseas Korean history and culture tour project for middle school students, which has been operated since 2018.

In order to strengthen the competitiveness of local high schools, we are providing opportunities for career exploration and talent development, such as after-school activities and support for certification classes, at four high schools.

Through the Jangheung Office of Education, we support programs such as inheritance of the spirit of Munlim Uihyang, foreign language experience center, student-customized career and job experience, village education community support center, and creative convergence center.

The scholarship society plans to carry out fundraising activities for talent development scholarships with the goal of raising 600 million won in scholarship funds this year.
