January 4: 30,561 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Germany, 356 deaths per day from covid

On January 4, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 30,561 new cases of Covid-19 infection, which is much more than the previous day (18,518). There were 356 corona deaths per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence increased to 239.9 (232.4). 71.2 percent of the German population was fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Since the start of the pandemic, 7,238,408 cases of the virus have been identified in Germany. This means that the number of cases in comparison with the previous day increased by 30.561 cases. In total, 112,579 people have died as a result of the Covid-19 disease since the start of the pandemic.
