The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Autonomous Police Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting the ‘2nd Autonomous Police Citizen Policy Advisory Group’ (hereinafter referred to as the Policy Advisory Group) to reflect the security policies desired by the residents of the province.

The policy advisory group targets residents aged 16 or older and students attending universities in the province with an address in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, and seeks to discover customized security policies by collecting opinions on security issues in the region. The recruitment period is from October 14th to November 13th, and the application form can be downloaded from the notice on the committee website and applied by email.

The policy advisory group can propose new policies or provide opinions on matters requiring improvement in various fields such as crime prevention, protection of the socially vulnerable, and traffic safety. In addition, we plan to promote the committee’s security policies, including crime prevention projects, through personal SNS to ensure that the benefits are well delivered to residents. The policy advisory group’s activity period is two years, from November 2024 to November 2026.

When recruiting a policy advisory group, the committee plans to select approximately 100 people by considering the applicant’s region of residence, gender, and age, and plans to announce the final selection results through the committee’s website.

Lee Yeon-joo, Chairman of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Autonomous Police Committee, said, “Since the introduction of the autonomous police system, the participation of residents has played an important role in establishing security policies.” He added, “The policy advisory group is a communication channel that actively collects opinions on local security. “We will do our best to ensure that the voices of the residents of the province are reflected in security policies,” he said.
