Johnson & Johnson, once the leader of the baby powder industry, is discontinuing the sale of talcum powder. Johnson & Johnson said it will stop selling baby powder globally in 2023. The company’s decision comes years after it stopped selling baby powder in the US and Canada.

In 2020, Johnson & Johnson stopped selling talc baby powder in the United States and Canada. Johnson had to face huge complaints after the presence of cancer-causing asbestos was found in the powder. Around 38000 people have approached different courts against the company.

The demand for the company decreased after it was spread that it could cause cancer. With this, Johnson & Johnson has stopped selling the powder in the US and Canada in 2020.

The Johnson Company has proven that the powder does not cause cancer in decades of scientific testing. But some cases are still pending.
