as part of the celebration of the fifth national convention of citizen Movement and after a long vote by the collegiate bodies of the orange party, they elected Jorge Álvarez Máynez as new national coordinator.
“With Dante Delgado we consolidate our Movement as the option that Mexico needs and today, together with Jorge Máynez, in Movimiento Ciudadano we will continue to be the force that represents thousands of girls, boys and young people who dream of a New Mexico,” wrote the X de MC account.

In addition to the appointment of the former presidential candidate, the orange party also reported that Jessica Ortega will be the new president of the National Council. With this, transition work begins with Dante Delgado, current national leader of MC.
After the result of the vote was announced, Jorge Álvarez Máynez embraced himself in a hug with Dante Delgado and with Solomon Chertorivskyformer candidate for the head of Government of Mexico City.

“We have extraordinary colleagues who are very loving, very generous and I am very proud to be a colleague of all these people (…) The Citizen Movement project has a clear route“the party has made correct decisions and what we have to do is continue that good strategy that allowed us to get here,” declared Máynez upon his arrival at the capital’s WTC.
With the new appointment and the renewal in the leadership of Movimiento ciudadano, Máynez’s first great challenge within the orange party in 2025 will be to consolidate the political project in other regions outside of Mexico City, Nuevo León and Jalisco.
