News from Angola – The Angolan journalist Ismael Mateus died early this Friday, October 1, in Luanda, the victim of a road accident.

According to data from the National Police, the accident occurred on Avenida 21 de Janeiro, when the vehicle in which he was travelling, collided with an obstacle, causing immediate death.

As a member of the Council of the Republic, Ismael was a prominent figure in the Angolan media, standing out throughout his career which included stints at TPA, RNA and Jornal de Angola.
