Justice: France and Morocco are linked by “very close active solidarity” (Eric Dupond Moretti)
Rabat – The judicial and legal field is “a perfect illustration of the unique community of destiny” between France and Morocco, two countries linked by “a very close active and reciprocal solidarity” in the matter, said Friday in Rabat, the French Minister of Justice, Eric Dupond Moretti.
In a statement to the press following the signing of a technical cooperation action plan between Morocco and France, Mr. Dupond Moretti added that the two countries are engaged in a digital transformation process aimed at make justice more accessible, faster, more protective and more effective.
The French Minister of Justice also underlined the unique community of destiny linking the two countries, a community based in particular on the proximity of their legal and judicial systems.
Regarding the technical cooperation action plan, Mr. Dupond Moretti indicated that the two parties aspire to achieve numerous objectives, including the modernization of justice and the strengthening of its efficiency, the digitization of procedures as well as the administrative structuring of courts.
According to the French minister, exchanges will be scheduled very soon in order to share the expertise of the two parties on concrete subjects, including the dematerialization of civil and criminal procedures, the tools made available to magistrates and justice personnel and the possibilities offered litigants to take legal action and follow their cases online.
These discussions will also focus on the training of Registry staff and the fight against violence against women and domestic violence, he said.
