He hopes that the Ukrainians themselves will decide on the future of their country, seeing the “treacherous policy” of its authorities.
“I did not speak on behalf of the head of the Chechen Republic, I spoke like Ramzan Kadyrov, as a citizen of the Russian Federation, this is my opinion, because the fate and security of our state is now in an extremely difficult situation, Western and European states are slowly approaching the borders of our state, therefore, at any time there may be problems, if we give up our positions, we can be dictated to, like others, their terms. Therefore, as a citizen worried about my republic, region, state, people, I expressed my opinion, ”he said during a live broadcast on Instagram.
At the same time, he clarified that he did not refuse his opinion: “As for Zelensky and what I said about Ukraine, I will repeat myself now: they conduct a treacherous policy towards Slavic peoples too, they often declare war against their people, their religion, and this is very scary for all of us. I think that the Ukrainian people will come out and express their opinion, position and determine their views, ”he said.
Earlier, the head of Chechnya said during a press conference that Ukraine is “our people” and “our territory,” and it should be annexed to Russia if the current policy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues. According to him, he would have annexed Chechnya to Ukraine, “if I had been instructed,” but now such decisions do not allow making “state agreements”.
