Congratulations to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, who is celebrating her 40th birthday today (Sunday).
The Duchess decided to mark her birthday in a special way that definitely suits her: in three new and special portraits published by the palace. The stunning photos, were taken in November in London by the Duchess’s photographer Paolo Robersi.
The new photos of the Duchess of Cambridge will be displayed during 2022 in three places of special significance to Kate: Berkshire, St. Andrews and English.
Kate grew up in Buckleberry, Berkshire, And often returns to spend time with her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, who still live in the quiet village. St. Andrews Is a particularly important place for both Kate and Prince William. There they met as freshmen at St Andrews University in 2002. English Is where the couple lived after their royal wedding in 2011. William and Kate rented a secluded cottage in English, Wales, while William trained nearby for the Royal Air Force. They then moved to Kensington Palace with Prince George in 2013.
At an English show in 2013, William said: “This island was our first home together, and it will always be a very special place for both of us.”
As you know, Kate is usually behind the camera. She is a photography enthusiast and she always provides particularly sweet photos of the royal family. But now, Kate is at the front and we have no complaints.
This image, in black and white, Kate delivers a vintage vibe in an elegant chiffon dress. Her profile pose shows off her diamond and pearl earrings, which belonged to Princess Diana (William’s mother). Particularly notable is the iconic engagement ring with the sapphire stone, which also belonged to her late mother-in-law. Kate chose delicate curls that are especially flattering to her.
There is no doubt that this picture stunned us, Middleton goes for a particularly glittery glam in this image, which shows the Duchess particularly glamorous in a single-breasted red satin dress with dramatic sleeves and pockets.
She fitted the look with diamond earrings from Queen Elizabeth’s collection. And we do not have much to say except: wow. This look is classic and sarcastic at the same time and is everything we wanted to see from the Duchess.
Of course Queen Elizabeth did not forget the Duchess’s birthday either. The Queen joined in the festivities and wished the Duchess a happy birthday in a particularly sweet picture.
Remember, two weeks ago Kate hosted a concert in honor of the holidays, where she first revealed her playing skills.
