To attend the Zurich Film Festival, the British actress and producer Kate Winslet went shopping at the Zurich store Yvy im Seefeld.
Swiss label Yvy’s store in Zurich’s Seefeld actually closed on Monday. “But if the phone rings and Kate Winslet wants to visit my shop, I’ll be happy to open it!” says Yvonne Reichmuth, the woman behind Yvy. She met the British actor and producer, who is presenting his new film “Lee” about war photographer Lee Miller at the ZFF, while working with the watch brand Longines. Reichmuth created a bracelet for the “Dolcevita” watch, which Winslet is on.
Custom belt
The reason for the call: Winslet still needed a belt for her walk on the green carpet on Monday evening and wanted to wear one from the Zurich label. She was joined by Kate Solomon, co-producer of “Lee”, Antony Penrose, son of Lee Miller, who was involved in the development of the film, and staff from ZFF. The actor chose the model “Belt buckle” for 245 francs. Since she wanted to wear gold jewelry, one with gold buckles and eyelets was specifically made on the same day. She also put together a “Bracelet Rivet”, in black and gold.
Jumpsuit instead of evening dress: Kate Winslet at the ZFF.
She teamed the accessories with the bright red sweater she wore on the green carpet and with the Golden Eye Award for her career so far. With the wide legs and halter cut, it was reminiscent of a classic evening dress, but offered much more freedom of movement. Winslet spent a lot of time with her fans, talking to them and signing autographs. “She’s very friendly, simple and authentic,” says Reichmuth. And probably not the only appearance of the star in Yvy: “They left with full pockets,” said the designer.
