Katie Price’s Husband: Dubai Jail & Loan Fraud Claims

Katie Price’s Husband Lee Andrews Faces Scrutiny Over Alleged Financial Misconduct and Travel Ban

A whirlwind marriage for Katie Price has been overshadowed by mounting allegations against her new husband, Lee Andrews, including claims of financial impropriety, a Dubai jail sentence, and a travel ban. Recent reports detail accusations of forged signatures, unpaid debts, and a pattern of deceptive behavior, raising serious questions about the entrepreneur’s past and his intentions.

Dubai Investigation and Travel Restrictions

Businessman Lee Andrews, 43, allegedly spent three weeks incarcerated in Dubai’s Al-Awir central prison last October, according to sources. The detention stemmed from allegations that he forged the signature of a former girlfriend, Dina Taji, to secure a £200,000 (approximately AED 1 million) mortgage without her knowledge. According to an insider, Taji discovered the alleged fraud after being contacted by the mortgage company for verification. She subsequently filed a legal case against Andrews.

Under Dubai law, individuals subject to criminal investigations – including those involving debts or civil lawsuits – are prohibited from leaving the country. Andrews was reportedly subject to this travel ban while authorities investigated Taji’s claims. The current status of the investigation remains unclear.

Claims from Inside the Prison Walls

A former inmate of Al-Awir prison, claiming to have shared a cell with Andrews, painted a damning portrait of the newlywed to The Mirror. The source described Andrews as a “compulsive liar” and a “scammer,” suggesting his marriage to Price is simply another calculated move. “I hope she made him sign a pre-nup,” the former cellmate stated.

The source detailed the harsh conditions within the prison, describing overcrowded cells with six beds in each, accommodating up to 70 inmates in a space designed for 60. He claimed Andrews was forced to sleep on a mattress on the floor due to the lack of space. The former inmate also alleged Andrews repeatedly asked fellow prisoners for a loan of 30,000 dirhams (approximately £5,966) to assist with his legal case, promising immediate repayment upon his release. He further claimed Andrews borrowed money from his ex-wife, identified as ‘Cez’, to cover a minimum release amount, only to be informed by Dubai Police of three additional civil cases requiring resolution before he could depart the UAE.

Questionable Business Dealings and LinkedIn Claims

Andrews’ past business ventures are also under scrutiny. Reports indicate he claimed on LinkedIn to be a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Labour party and the Founder of Royalton hotel chain’s Blue Diamond Resorts. However, a Labour source confirmed to The Mirror that Andrews has never been affiliated with the party and that no such advisory board exists. Similarly, a spokesperson for Royalton Hotels stated Andrews was not the founder of Blue Diamond Resorts (now Royalton Hotels & Resorts) and has no record of professional affiliation with the company.

A Pattern of Broken Relationships

Prior to marrying Price, Andrews reportedly ended a two-year relationship with Dina Taji, during which she established a cat orphanage in Dubai. He then proposed to Alana Percival just four months before his wedding to the former glamour model. Percival has since publicly warned Price to “run for the hills,” claiming to possess evidence of Andrews’ “shady dealings.”

Percival shared on Instagram that Andrews showered her with lavish gifts, including a Louis Vuitton handbag and Cartier jewelry, and transferred substantial sums of money. She alleges he repurposed the Cartier ring he gifted her to propose to Price. Following her engagement announcement, Percival was contacted by Andrews’ estranged Russian wife, Cezara, and two other former partners, all of whom reportedly described him as a liar.

Another ex-partner, Crystal Janke, claims Andrews convinced her to invest £123,000 in his company with the promise of a £1 million return, a claim that remains unverified.

Andrews Denies Allegations and Shifts Travel Plans

Andrews vehemently denied the travel ban allegations in a series of voice notes sent to The Daily Mail, dismissing them as “complete b**s.” He claimed to have traveled extensively in recent weeks and intended to fly to the UK on Friday night to join Price. However, he later retracted this statement, announcing on Instagram that he would remain in Dubai to search for a home for the couple.

“I’m going to be meeting Katie tomorrow in the UK. I just need to wrap up a few things here,” he initially stated. He later clarified, “She had to get back for her children because she’s a good mother and she’s lovely like that.”

As of Saturday, Price has not publicly addressed Andrews’ absence, instead sharing photos of herself with her son, Harvey, and her dog, Rookie, on Instagram.

Financial Discrepancies and Ongoing Concerns

Andrews insisted his UAE bank account holds funds exceeding £200,000, suggesting a travel ban would be unnecessary as any debt would be automatically settled. However, the allegations continue to swirl, casting a shadow over his recent marriage and raising concerns about his financial stability and honesty.

The Foreign Office has been approached for comment. The unfolding situation underscores a turbulent start to Katie Price’s latest marriage, leaving many to question the true nature of her new husband and the future of their relationship.
