Keanu Reeves has officially dominated the world of auto racing. The Matrix actor actually took part in the Toyota Cup GRa race for amateur car enthusiasts and aspiring drivers, held at the legendary Indianapolis circuit, not to the delight of the many fans who came to support him.
In the first of the two challenges Reeves went off the track to avoid a collision. Fortunately the 60-year-old actor was unharmed and was able to finish the race in 25th place out of 33 drivers overall. The score improved by one place in the second race, where he finished 24th. His co-star was “Dude Perfect” star Cody Jones.

Reevs drove the No. 1. 92 BRZRKR, a reference to his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere” which he wrote in collaboration with China Miéville. The novel came out in July and is part of Reeves’ BRZRKR comic series, the first of which comes out in 2021.

The great actor was a car enthusiast, until now he only participated in famous car events and in 2009 he even won the highest trophy at the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix. Meanwhile, the film “Speed”, in which he stars with Sandra Bullock, celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special screening on Tuesday in Los Angeles at which both Bullock and Reeves will be present.
