Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had a heated argument in the House over the law and order situation in the state. The CM said that the UDF, BJP and SDPI were trying to create riots in Kerala. Opposition accused Kerala of being a corridor of goons. The immediate resolution of the UDF was to maintain law and order in the state, including the murder of CPM activist Haridasan in Kannur. But the Speaker denied permission for this.
The Chief Minister said that the law and order situation in Kerala was better than other states. The probe into the murder of CPM activist Haridas is in full swing. Four suspects were arrested. Defendants in the case of the murder of a man in a bomber during a wedding party in Kannur have been arrested. The CM also explained that the accused were also arrested in the death of Deepu, a Twenty20 activist in East Kambalam.
The CM also criticized the Congress leadership. The Congress is a leadership that publicly calls for violence. However, the Leader of the Opposition said that the Chief Minister had failed to protect the lives and property of the people. N Shamsudheen MLA said that the situation in Kerala is dire. In Thalassery, the RSS is the culprit while in the East, the CPM is the culprit. Shumsudheen alleged that the Chief Minister could not even save the life of his own party member in Thalassery. The TP case defendants are all out now. Shamsuddin said that it was the fault of the police including Anupama’s case.
