The opening ceremony of these days, which took place in the presence of the governor of the province of Fahs-Anjra, Abdelkhalek Marzouki, the president of the provincial council, and representatives of the Tanger Med foundation, the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) and the National Mutual Aid Foundation, was dedicated to welcoming parents of students, as well as rewarding the students of Dar Taliba, who distinguished themselves in their educational career, whether at college or at the baccalaureate.
It was also an opportunity to take stock of the results of Dar Taliba, created within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), particularly in terms of the academic performance of residents, including the success rate in the baccalaureate reached approximately 100%.
In a statement to MAP, the president of the social protection association Dar Taliba Ksar Sghir, Mokhtar Laghmich, stressed that the organization of these open days, which will continue until June 28, aims to highlight this institution, its prerogatives and its mission to the population, particularly rural ones, noting that the main mission of Dar Taliba is to guarantee girls from rural areas, who have difficulty accessing schools, to benefit services offered by the establishment and to continue their studies with complete peace of mind.
This structure, he continued, welcomes young girls from different neighboring villages and provides catering and accommodation services, as well as workshops and academic support for residents, highlighting the social impact of this establishment, which made it possible to reduce the school dropout rate and achieve a significant success rate, with almost 100% of students passing their exams.
Mr. Laghmich also welcomed the work of the supervisors who demonstrate listening and self-sacrifice in carrying out their mission.
For his part, Houda Chentouf, head of department of the 4th INDH program in the province of Fahs-Anjra, indicated that this event offers the opportunity to publicize the missions of social protection establishments in the province, particularly Dar Taliba, noting that this experience will be generalized to all municipalities in the province.
She also noted that this structure plays an essential role in the education of girls in rural areas and the fight against dropping out of school, by offering them an environment adapted to their needs and guaranteeing their academic success, highlighting the success rate number of these girls in the baccalaureate, which was close to 100%.
The program for these open days includes artistic and cultural workshops, visits to the various workshops and installations at Dar Taliba, as well as interactive round tables with parents, in order to answer all their questions.
Inaugurated in 2010, Dar Taliba de Ksar Sghir contributed to bringing about a radical transformation in terms of schooling for rural girls in the province of Fahs-Anjra and continues to be a place of knowledge allowing hundreds of rural girls to have a promising educational and professional career.
