Kolkata: Good news for Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the second home match of the 16th season of IPL. In-form Bangladesh opener Liton Das has joined the KKR squad. Kolkata team welcomed him. Liton Das, a regular opener in the Bangladesh team, is known for his aggressive batting. The addition of Liton to the team which has stars like Andre Russell, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy will add to the strength of KKR.

Liton Das was in good form in the recent Twenty20 series against Ireland. In the second match of the series, Liton Das got the record for the fastest fifty by a Bangladesh player in international T20 cricket by completing 50 off 18 balls. The player scored 83 runs off 41 balls in the match. Lytton is the highest run-scorer in three T20 series. He scored 135 runs in three innings at an average of 45.00 and a strike rate of 198.53. Liton Das scored 47 runs off 23 balls in the first T20I. Liton is also the star who scored a perfect fifty in 21 balls against Team India in the last Twenty20 World Cup. Twenty-eight-year-old Liton Das has scored 1617 runs in 71 Twenty20 Internationals at an average of 23.43 and a strike rate of 132.43.
