Knife attack at ticket control: injured in Rimini

During a ticket inspection on a bus in Rimini, a man injured five people with a knife, some seriously. Among the victims of the attack in the Italian holiday resort on the Adriatic was a little boy on Saturday evening. As the news agency Ansa reported on Sunday, the six-year-old was operated on during the night for injuries on the neck and was out of danger to life.

The perpetrator is said to be a 26-year-old man. According to initial investigations, there is no terrorist motive. According to reports, the man had been checked in a bus. When he couldn’t show a ticket, he took a knife out of his backpack and attacked the two checkers. On the run, he injured three other people, including the little boy. The police arrested the attacker. It is reportedly believed that the man was under the influence of drugs.
