Dubai: Asia Cup India vs Hong Kong: India secured place in Super Four in Asia Cup. In the second match of Group A, India defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs to qualify for the Super Four. In the match held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India lost the toss and went into bat with the batting strength of Suryakumar Yadav (68 off 26 balls) and Virat Kohli (59 off 44 balls) and scored 192 runs for the loss of just two wickets. In reply, Hong Kong scored 152 runs for the loss of five wickets. India beat Pakistan in the first match. Now, after beating Hong Kong, they have become the second team to enter the Super Four. Afghanistan has also secured a place in the Super Four with two consecutive wins.

Hong Kong had a bad start. In the second over, Nisaqat Khan was dismissed for 10 runs. After that, the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Only Babar Hayat resisted. Therefore, Hong Kong’s top scorer is Babar Hayat who scored 41 runs in 35 balls with three fours and two sixes. Kinjit Shah (30) scored runs. Finally, Rahul returned with 39 runs off 36 balls.

Suryakumar, who started hitting as soon as he reached the crease, gave pace to the Indian innings. India scored 17 runs in the eighteenth over bowled by Ayush Shukla and scored 13 runs in the nineteenth over bowled by Ehsan Khan.
