Hyderabad: A Telangana woman gave birth on the road after being denied treatment by a Kovid positive pregnant woman. The incident took place at the Community Health Center in Achampet in Nagarkurnool district. Kovid confirmed that he could not be admitted and the doctor advised him to go to another hospital.
The superintendent of the community health center and the doctor were suspended after the incident became controversial.
On Tuesday, Kovid was examined by a pregnant woman at the Community Health Center. On inspection. Kovid confirmed that the girl could not be admitted to the hospital and the doctor advised her to go to another hospital. The woman then gave birth on the road outside the hospital.
The woman and baby were taken to hospital after giving birth and the mother and baby are fine, officials said.
