Changanassery പി KPAC Lalitha’s separation saddens Changanassery twice. Before joining KPAC, which became part of the name, Lalitha Changanassery was active in the theater industry through ‘Geetha’. He lived in a rented house in the Vazhappally area. He was educated at Mathumula Wariyath School and Puzhavath Govt. School. Ananthan Nair’s friendship with ‘Geetha’ owner Chachappan brought Lalitha to the stage. Although she initially objected to letting her daughter act, she agreed after being told that she should only come to dance.
Anthony Joseph (Kunjappan), the younger brother of Chachappan and a tablist in the play ‘Geetha’, says: The youngest members of the theater troupe were me and Lalitha. In the play ‘Bali’, Lalitha plays a dancer who dances to please the Goddess when the priest opens the temple walk. His salary was 25 rupees then.
KPAC Lalitha has often said that she went to study dance at the house of Devarajan Master’s wife Leelamani in Perunna. Leelamani, who lives in Chennai, says: Lalitha came to practice classical dance. Film star Krishnaprasad also remembers that KPAC Lalitha gave special consideration to being a Changanacherry resident.
