Kuwait bans social gatherings The decision comes in the wake of rising Kovid cases. The regulation runs from January 9 to February 28.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held last day. A negative result of the Kovid PCR test taken within 72 hours will be mandatory for all passengers arriving in the country. This decision was also taken at the Cabinet meeting.
Officials said the situation in the country was deteriorating day by day. It is in that context that Kuwait is moving into more controls. At the same time, Kovid had confirmed 1482 cases in the country in the last one day alone. This brings the total number of reported cases in the country to 4,20,796.
Last day, 201 people became ill. It is reassuring that the death toll has not risen significantly despite the increasing number of patients. No new Kovid deaths were reported in the country yesterday.
