kyle Chrisley Mugshot Released Following Arrest on Multiple Charges
The son of reality television star Todd Chrisley, Kyle Chrisley, is facing a series of serious charges following an arrest in Tennessee over the weekend. His mugshot was released on Monday, December 22, by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, confirming details of the incident that included alleged assaults on law enforcement.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a domestic assault call on saturday, December 20, ultimately leading to kyle Chrisley’s arrest. According to a press release issued by Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh, “multiple charges were filed against a husband accused of assaulting three deputies responding to a domestic assault call.”
The mugshot, obtained by Us Weekly, depicts the 34-year-old with a stern expression, disheveled blond hair, and a scruffy beard. A portion of a green vest is visible in the image.
Chrisley has been charged with three counts of “felony retaliation for past actions,” three counts of “felony assault on first responders,” and also “misdemeanor domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.” Initial reports surfaced on Sunday, December 21, detailing the arrest of Todd Chrisley’s eldest son, who shares a daughter, Chloe, 13, with ex-wife Teresa Terry.
The incident began when deputies responded to a call from Kyle’s wife, ashleigh Nelson, who reported that he was “belligerent” and walking in the middle of the road while she followed him in her vehicle. According to Sergeant Brady Greene, when officers attempted to engage with chrisley,he “became promptly aggressive.”
Authorities allege that chrisley then “charged at deputies and began to throw punches and assault deputies,” resulting in a “physical altercation and deployment of OC Spray.” Three deputies reportedly sustained injuries during the confrontation. Chrisley was later released on an $88,500 bond and is scheduled for a hearing on January 27.
This is not Kyle Chrisley’s first encounter with the law. He has a history of arrests dating back to 2013, which led to his father and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, receiving joint custody of his daughter, Chloe. Todd and Julie Chrisley later gained full custody of Chloe in 2016. In 2019, Kyle was hospitalized following an attempted suicide, but subsequently found support in his relationship with Nelson, whom he married in 2021.
Further complicating matters, Kyle Chrisley was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in March 2023, though those charges were later dismissed. More recently, in August, he filed a $1.7 million lawsuit against Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies stemming from a separate aggravated assault arrest in September 2024. In court documents, Chrisley and Nelson allege they were falsely arrested following an altercation with a “disgruntled mechanic” who allegedly threatened them and damaged their vehicle.
