Swedish tabloids claim Kylian Mbappé has been named in a rape investigation after a party in Stockholm. The Real Madrid player talks about “fake news”.
Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet and Expressen say an investigation is open against Real Madrid athlete Kylian Mbappé for rape and sexual assault.
The allegations date back to the French player’s visit to Stockholm, which took place between October 9 and 11, where he was accompanied by former PSG team-mate Nordi Mukiele, his bodyguard and personal assistant.
The Stockholm Public Prosecutor’s Office, in a statement, confirmed that police registered a rape complaint “on October 10, in a hotel in the center” of the Swedish capital, but did not name any names.
According to another Swedish media outlet, TV4the alleged victim went to the hospital’s rape unit and identified Kylian Mbappé as the perpetrator.
The French player, on the other hand, claims it is “fake news” and has accused his former club, PSG, of trying to destabilize him at a time when the two parties are in dispute over wages and bonuses unpaid.
