The Chamber of Commerce of Girona has awarded the companies Kave Home and La Selva this Thursday in its gala “L’empresa puja a l’escenario”, which was held at the Auditori de Girona with a proposal from Cor Geriona dedicated to traveling with music and dance through the countries of Girona’s exports, which arrive on the five continents.
La Selva has received the Impulse Chamber of Language and Culture award «for his convinced and unwavering use of Catalan in all his products and performances, for his work as a promoter of the country’s culture and for the tireless work of patronage and promotion of cultural and civic events”. The award was collected by the managing administrator of the company, Xavier Albertí.
The Impuls Chamber International Expansion award went to the company Kave Home «for having been able to innovate in a sector with great competition, to maintain values such as respect for the environment, the design of functional, durable pieces with a transgressive design, capable of being appreciated around the world, and for its bold and successful bid for international expansion”. Francesc Julià, founder of Kave Home, collected the award.
The Minister for Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, David Mascort, and the Minister for Business and Work, Roger Torrent, took part in the presentation of the awards, as well as Lídia Vidal and Jaume Guàrdia, vice-presidents of the Chamber of Commerce from Girona.
During the event, presented by Clara Sánchez-Castro Bonfill, buyers or distributors of Girona products from the five continents greeted the audience through short videos recorded in countries such as the Arab Emirates, Russia, China, Italy, Morocco, South Africa , Indonesia, USA, Hong Kong or Norway.
Contribution to progress
The president of the Chamber, Jaume Fàbrega, has stated that the company “contributes decisively to the progress of society, although it still does not receive enough recognition”. For this reason, he explained, the Girona corporation is celebrating this gala with the intention of “putting on stage” a representation of the Girona business world and awarding companies that have excelled in promoting language, culture or international expansion. The gala brought together more than 300 people from the business world and Girona’s civil society.
