Condé Nast Traveler magazine, recognized as an authority in luxury tourism, chose Playa Palomino among the most attractive thanks to the vote of its readers.

– 2024-04-07 05:21:27″>La Guajira, among the best beaches in Central and South America. The selection was made through the voting of its readers in the 27th edition of the Readers’ Choice Awards 2024, in its version for the United Kingdom.
“Our objective at ProColombia is to position the country on the international scene through the Six Tourist Regions, highlighting both consolidated and emerging destinations. Recognitions like this are the result of that work and reinforce the growing visibility of Colombia in the global market,” said Carmen Caballero, president of ProColombia.
This recognition of Palomino highlights the rise of emerging and lesser-known destinations that are gaining international attention for their natural beauty and authenticity.

In recent years, Palomino has gained popularity among international tourists thanks to its quiet beaches, lush nature and direct contact with local communities. The beach shared honors with nine other notable destinations in the region, such as Anakena in Chile, Cahuita National Park in Costa Rica, Caye Caulker in Belize, and Lopes Mendes Beach in Brazil.
In addition to the recognition of Palomino, two Colombian hotels managed to position themselves among the 15 best hotels in South America. The Blue Apple Beach in Cartagena was ranked number 9, while the Click Clack in Medellín was ranked 11th, consolidating Colombia as a preferred destination for both its beaches and its high-level hotel offering.
And the beaches with strong waves make Palomino an ideal place for lovers of water sports such as surfing, something characteristic of this area is paddle surfing.
